Things were not looking good :o(
Bran had been sick on and off through the night and seems to be having some problems with his back left leg so he's due at the vets tomorrow morning. As I know that the sickness is because he's uncomfortable with his leg, I decided to go ahead with the test.
He's really not himself and didn't perform anywhere near as sharply as he usually does, but he did everything that was asked of him, so it was all down to the examiner's decision......
WE PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am so so proud of my boy and we're looking forward to starting in the silver class on Thursday :oD
Well done Bran. Barty sends a huge lick and a snuffle in congratulations.
ReplyDeleteSorry he has a poorly leg - is it the HD causing him problems Sarah???
Yay!! Well done to my very handsome and gorgeous Bran xx
ReplyDeleteHe hasn't actually got (as far as we know!) HD yet, Anne. He has chronic bi-lateral ED and when his hips were x-rayed I was told that they were the loosest hips our vet had ever seen (and he was in the process of qualifying to be a PennHIP scorer so had seen a LOT of x-rays!). This meant that we had a really, really high chance of arthritis/HD developing at some point. That was a year ago, but his back feet are turning inwards when he walks and the whole of his back left leg turns in as he runs, plus he's doing that horrible thing where if you lightly touch his back all of his skin flinches :o( Because he's uncomfortable in that leg, it's caused his IBD to flare up, hence the sickness and why I knew he'd be safe to be at the test. We're at the vets in the morning so we'll see what they say but I suspect more x-rays are on the cards...
